Gold lug nut covers and gold painted calipers with 5 line gold striping on rocker panels Was looking for that late 60’s early 70’s look. Very hard time locating the 3M striping. Found a roll on ebay from a seller in Iowa. (No, it does not pull the sled trailer in background.)

This is my first Mustang. I have loved Mustangs ever since high school, when my buddy Jeff would give me a lift home every day in his 1966 hardtop, and I would have to open the choke plate by hand while Jeff cranked the engine to get it started on cold Winter days. A far cry from my push button start!

My second mustang; had a 1969 fastback when younger and loved the recent retro look of the 05-09 models. Fast forward to my mid-life years and looked to purchase another Mustang in 2013. Wanted a GT (V8) and got lucky enough to find a 2007 Shelby GT for almost the same price as a convertible. Always wanted a Shelby but never thought I’d ever have the opportunity. Checked the VIN with a call to the Shelby registry during the test drive at the used dealership, told is was real, negotiated a little more, and stepped over to make the deposit at the main counter, and just then another customer walks in with a bag of money and announces “I’ll pay cash for that Shelby outside!” … my salesman responds, “I’m sorry sir, this gentleman just purchased the Shelby” … if dirty looks could kill - I’d be 6 feet under right now!
